For further information, please visit our corporate website: www.yamaha-motor.co.jp Logistics Officer / Executive Post Date: 04 Jan 10 JOB DESCRIPTION: Liaise with relevant parties to ensure purchasing and selling price is valid. Monitor monthly shipping plan & liaise with vendors to expedite shipping document as per shipping plan. Liaise with vendors/nominated service providers to expedite for Ocean Bill of Lading or Airway Bill. Liaise with Forwarders for timely invoice switching Performs invoice switching & verify all document for accuracy before sending to customers Liaise with customers regarding new internal or customs requirements & update buyers’ requirements Monitor monthly accounts receivable of respective customers & report to main coordinator. Ensure timely submission of completed shipping document to Logistics Assistant. Follow-up on vendor’s invoices bearing authorized signature for Account’s payments. Monitor KPIs of vendors and nominated service providers. Render support to ensure that logistics operation is in conformance to internal/external regulations. REQUIREMENTS: Ideal candidate should possess a “A’ level, Diploma/ Graduate diploma/Degree in Logistics/Operations Management or its relevant. Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in logistics operations Those with prior logistics experience with customers, vendors from European continents are highly preferred. A result orientated attitude and be prepared to work independently with minimum guidance Resourceful and ability to perform under pressure Good interpersonal & communication skills and team spirit Knowledge of Microsoft Office application Knowledge of mechanics of shipping industry Basic knowledge of inco terms Computer literate (Excel, Powerpoint, Lotus Notes) Knowledge of buyer consolidation shipment process will be an added advantage Immediate availability or able to commence within short notice Please email resume in MS Word format with recent photo, current & expected salary (must), & availability to: hr@yamaha-motor.com.sg Please do not “quick apply”.
